Market Update

 For the week of Monday July 21, 2008. 

Propane Market Information:

• Thank you for inquiring about our Real Time Prepay Contract (RTP). 

• Country Comfort's goal is to provide propane consumers the flexibility to purchase your propane needs when you see the opportunity to be best. 

• Each week we will provide you with a few bullet points relating to the current energy market.  We post new energy comments by 10:00A.M each Monday morning. 

• The comments are solely the synopsis of market opinions shared by propane commodity wholesalers.

 Market Information:    

• Weather Factors:   Hurricane threat in the gulf has marketers keeping a close eye on the severity and path. 
• Energy Commodity Factors:  Crude corrected over 11% last week and fell below the $130.00 per barrel barrier.  Early trading on Monday had it back up, but some are anticipating more correction.  
• International News Factors:    A weekend meeting in Geneva with officials from the UN and Iran has presented a carrot of opportunity if Iran chooses to reduce their uranium enrichment by half.  The UN is offering up the potential for “economic aid” to Iran. 
• Bottom Line:  The slip in crude is much overdue, propane has given up a few cents, but please keep in mind that it will take a correct near the $110 per barrel mark to get back anywhere near the levels prices are being sold at today of $2.19 to $2.29 per gallon.     
• Our goal with RTP is to provide you options in this very difficult time of energy cost. 

The next RTP BUNDLE will be offered the 3^rd week of August.  This price will “bundle” values from the start of January RTP offer to the current price trend at the time.

The prices posted are for delivery during the 2008 and 2009 heating season.  Delivery of the posted prices is not available until September 15, 2008.
